By Rachel Kolisi, with Zibu Sithole
Falling Forward is a story of reclaiming identity, voice and power. In this deeply personal memoir, released alongside her documentary, Rachel Kolisi takes readers beyond the public image. She moves into the private moments that shaped her life.
Falling Forward reveals the experiences that defined her path with honesty and courage.
A story of becoming
With clarity and resolve, she traces her journey through childhood and motherhood. She reflects on love, marriage and a faith in God that was tested and rebuilt. In addition, she confronts loss, reinvention and the complex reality of living under constant public scrutiny.
This is not a story of perfection or arrival. Instead, Falling Forward is a story of becoming. It is about breaking, rebuilding and choosing to rise anyway. Through hard-learned lessons and unflinching honesty, Rachel reflects on what it means to let go of who you were expected to be. She shows how to step fully into who you are.
Alongside her personal journey, she explains how purpose and service became anchors in her healing process. Her commitment to uplifting others is not separate from her story. Rather, it is a natural continuation of it.
Raw yet hopeful, and grounded yet powerful, Falling Forward speaks to any woman whose world has been turned upside down. It offers strength to those who choose to begin again.
