Fifty-two percent of CEOs across Sub-Saharan Africa expect economic growth locally and in their Africa territory (compared to 44% globally) in the next 12 months. At the same time, 50% of these CEOs are feeling more exposed to inflation and macroeconomic volatility (40%).

Nearly three quarters (73%) of CEOs believe global economic growth will decline over the next 12 months, according to our 26th Annual Global CEO Survey, which polled 4,410 CEOs in 105 countries and territories in October and November 2022.

SURVEY | CEOs predict a return to growth in 2021
One year after COVID-19 was declared a pandemic, CEOs are voicing record levels of optimism in the global economic recovery, with 76% of global business leaders predicting that economic growth will improve in 2021. Coming off of a global recession (3.5% decline in world GDP) and a GDP contraction of 7% in SA, a record share of CEOs are optimistic about global economic growth this year.
More women are actively pursuing their career goals than ever before
To mark International Women’s Day (IWD) on Thursday 8 March 2018, PwC surveyed over 3,600 professional women (aged 28-40) to find out about their career development experiences and aspirations. The survey included respondents from employers across 27 industry sectors and from over 60 countries worldwide. These women are at the point in their working lives where the gap between men’s and women’s progression begins to widen significantly and the challenges of combining careers and personal priorities increase.
