10 Years of Remembering Wildlife is the tenth book in the Remembering Wildlife charity series. The series has raised more than USD $1.5 million for conservation so far. This new edition becomes an anthology of images selected from each of the previous books. These include volumes on elephants, rhinos, Great Apes, cheetahs, lions, African wild dogs, bears, leopards and tigers. This year, the team adds pangolins.

The creators aim to produce the most beautiful book ever seen on these species. They want to use it to raise awareness of the challenges pangolins face. They also intend to generate funds to protect this threatened animal. Each volume contains images generously donated by many of the world’s leading wildlife photographers. This edition honours the unseen and unwavering heroes of pangolin conservation.

The profits from the sale of 10 Years of Remembering Wildlife support projects that protect pangolins. Their efforts inspire every page of 10 Years of Remembering Wildlife. Tireless vets nurse broken bodies and spirits back to health with compassion and skill.

A curated selection of favourite images

Volunteer walkers protect rescued pangolins as they forage. Dedicated law-enforcement teams risk their lives to stop trafficking. Fundraisers channel their energy into securing the resources needed to sustain this vital work.

Campaigners also warn landowners about the silent threat of electric fences. Guardians fight to preserve the last wild places pangolins call home. Every person – known or unknown – who offers time, talent or heart contributes to their survival. Across Africa, Asia and beyond, these individuals form a quiet force behind global hope. They are the reason pangolins still have a chance. We see you. We honour you. And we thank you.

The Remembering Wildlife series continues to grow in impact. This new volume becomes the largest in the series, with 200 pages. It features images donated by leading wildlife photographers such as Marsel van Oosten, Frans Lanting, Greg du Toit and Jonathan & Angela Scott. These contributors also wrote the foreword.

The edition includes a curated selection of favourite images from previous volumes. It also introduces a powerful new section that spotlights the world’s most trafficked mammal, the pangolin. Photographers capture these animals in breathtaking detail. In addition, the book showcases 20 winning entries from a recent competition. Each winner earns a well-deserved place in 10 Years of Remembering Wildlife.

About the editor

A former PR in London, when Margot Raggett saw a poached elephant in late 2014, she was so moved by that incident, that she founded the Remembering Wildlife project. This was a ‘live-aid’ moment for wildlife photographers, coming together for a fundraising book entitled Remembering Elephants.

Such was the success of this book that it was quickly followed up by Remembering Rhinos, Remembering Great Apes, Remembering Lions, Remembering Cheetahs, Remembering African Wild Dogs, Remembering Bears, Remembering Leopards and Remembering Tigers.

So far, over 280 photographers have contributed to the series under the banner of ‘Wildlife Photographers United’, selling more than 47,000 copies and raising more than USD $1.5 million for conservation projects in Africa and Asia.
