Should it be for the reason of the lockdown during this unprecedented time in our lives, or for those who have the opportunity to work from home in general, there are always some challenges in the work environment. For those whose challenge is working remotely, here are some survival tips I found useful.

With the nationwide COVID-19 lockdown finally starting to wind down after five long weeks, many businesses now find themselves having to coordinate the restart of their operations. A major part of this is ensuring that employees can return to work, which comes with many challenges considering the host of rules and regulations introduced at the start of the Level 4 phase of the national lockdown.

Business owners need to ensure that their workspaces are properly cleaned and thoroughly cleansed before employees report for duty once the lockdown has been lifted. It is expected that large numbers of workers will be able to return to work, but it is critical to ensure that their workspaces are properly cleansed and that hygiene measures are kept at the highest possible level to prevent the possible transmission of the coronavirus.

President Cyril Ramaphosa presented the five-level, risk-adjusted strategy that will guide South Africa’s emergence from lockdown. As the finer points of the strategy were shared, it became clearer how - and when - certain sectors will once again gear up into activity.

With the lockdown period having significant ramifications on personal finances, many consumers are asking about available options to assist in better managing their money. One option is debt consolidation, which in the right circumstances can improve current cash flows and save costs.
