About the editors

Dr. Preeya Daya is an Academic Director at the Achievement Awards Group and an Executive Director at the Leadership Dialogue.

She has a PhD in Business from UCT, and Master’s degree in Human Resource Management. Her consulting and research relates to organisational behaviour, including diversity and inclusion, employee engagement, leadership and personal mastery.

Preeya teaches on executive programmes for the University of KwaZulu Natal and the University of Stellenbosch and she co-convenes a PhD programme in leadership, systems thinking and complexity at the Durban University of Technology.

Preeya is a research associate of the University of Cape Town’s Allan Gray Centre for Values-Based Leadership and she serves on the Council for the Durban Chamber of Commerce, as Vice-Chair on the Human Resource Forum.

Prof. Kurt April is the Endowed Chair and Director of the Allan Gray Centre for Values-Based Leadership, specialising in Leadership, Diversity and Inclusion, at the Graduate School of Business, University of Cape Town.

He is also an Orchestrator and Faculty member for Duke CE at Duke University, and Adjunct Faculty member of Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.

Previously he was a Research Fellow at Ashridge-Hult Business School; Visiting Professor at London Metropolitan University; Visiting Professor at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University; and Visiting Professor in the Faculty of Economics & Econometrics, University of Amsterdam.
