Simple Too

Simple Too

By Yotam Ottolenghi

Cooking at home can feel difficult when time is short and everyday demands keep piling up.

Simple Too responds to that reality with an inviting approach to food. Yotam Ottolenghi brings his distinctive flavours to recipes designed for ordinary kitchens and busy schedules.

For readers who enjoyed Ottolenghi SIMPLE, Simple Too offers another collection of accessible recipes. The book features 135 dishes covering breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert. Each recipe places simplicity at its core without sacrificing flavour, creativity or visual appeal.

Simple dishes, big flavour

Ottolenghi builds each dish around practical solutions. Some recipes take less than 30 minutes to prepare and cook. Others use a single pot or allow readers to prepare components ahead of time. These approaches make the book particularly useful for home cooks who want impressive meals without spending hours in the kitchen.

However, Simple Too does more than provide quick recipes. It encourages readers to slow down and reconnect with the experience of cooking. The book invites home cooks to listen to the soup bubble or hear an egg crackle. In doing so, it presents cooking as both nourishment and a welcome pause from a busy world.

The collection also reflects Ottolenghi’s familiar talent for combining bold flavours, vibrant ingredients and unexpected combinations. Yet the recipes remain approachable. That balance gives Simple Too its appeal for both enthusiastic home cooks and people who struggle to find the time or confidence to cook.

With its emphasis on convenience, flavour and enjoyment, the book makes a persuasive case for keeping everyday meals simple. It shows that accessible cooking does not have to mean predictable food. Instead, Simple Too demonstrates how thoughtful ingredients and straightforward techniques can transform an ordinary meal into something memorable.
